Paul Demarais, prior to passing in 2013 was the owner of Power Corp. Canada. His wife, Jacqueline Desmarais, his wife of 60 years, had the honor of cutting the ribbon to introduce an addition to Montreal’s Sainte-Justine pediatric hospital that is now named after her. The family has donated approximately $12 million to the hospital, as well as donated enough to have their own pavilion at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and University of Montreal.
