Bernard Sherman is the chairman of Apotex, which is Canada’s largest producer of generic drugs. They were scrutinized for assisting in organizing a fundraiser which had a $500 per ticket cost for access to the party. He is know to be a large supporter of Justin Trudeau’s Liberal party, and the company as well supports the federal government. He therefore left the event after Keren Shepard, a federal lobbying commissioner started to become involved in the case.
