One user, ‘meatball402’ sarcastically thought the woman talking about her former lover all of the time must have made Seagull977’s dad feel great. Seagull977 recalled that her mother had been talking about this guy since she was little and told her daughter stories of her time as a young woman.
Her mother told her all about she was young, free, and single, but she never took the stories about her past as a slight on her father. She thought her mother talking about this guy was always her way of wondering what might have been. It’s an age-old question that many of us don’t have the answer to unless we could visit ourselves in a parallel universe.
