For his role as Ray Charles in 2004’s biopic ‘Ray’, Jamie Foxx did all it took to look as much like his character as possible. This meant shedding over 30 pounds to get a slimmer physique and also having to wear prosthetic eyelids.

According to Foxx, the eyelids were extremely uncomfortable to wear, so much so that he suffered from numerous panic attacks during filming. Foxx once said, “It was basically having your eyelids shut closed for 14 hours a day. It was like a prison sentence.”
