So, Harrison Ford’s character in The Fugitive performs open heart surgery. He really does, we promise. It just happens in the blink of an eye, so you probably missed it like the rest of us. To prepare for this scene, Ford actually assisted in an open heart procedure in real life.
His medical training probably came in handy when he injured himself on set soon after; the actor tore a ligament in his leg and went on with the show regardless of the pain. Ironic, isn’t it?
