A mighty four decades later, Adrian eventually did cave – he was to get to the bottom of this once and for all. However, if this gift was to be opened, it was to be done in the right way. Taking to Facebook, Adrian explained his story of the little blue gift and called for help from the powers of social media to help find Vicki.
Months went by of nail-biting speculation and media hype – no one knew whether Vicki was ever to be found. Adrian even had a few imposters falsely claiming to be ‘the one’ – but he knew immediately they weren’t Vicki. However, after a short while longer, a woman he recognised came forward…as soon as he saw her picture he knew it was her. Adrian finally found Vicki!
