The Shining is one of the most popular and iconic horror films of all time, and yet the premise is practically as ridiculous as can be.
It centers around Jack Torrance, played by Jack Nicholson, who gets a job as a caretaker for a hotel in Colorado, where he takes his family. The hotel seems isolated, but this is certainly not the case. Soon enough Jack begins go mad within its walls, and the movie only gets more outrageous with every scene.
