Mason, a young father, started to feel like he wasn’t going to make it, and so he stopped swimming, rolled over onto his back, closed his eyes, and said a silent prayer. Then he heard a dog barking. Woody, a yellow Labrador who belongs to the owner of the property where Ringer was working, had spotted Mason’s distress. Without a second thought, he jumped into the water and swam to Mason, who had been in the water for an hour. Mason grabbed him by the collar, and he pulled him safely ashore.
