Unfortunately, these changes didn’t go away once the dry season was over. Even though the heat was less overbearing and the animals had more water at their disposal, Eloise was showing no improvements in her behavior.
She was just as distant from the rest of her herd as she had been before, leading Dr. Foley to wonder if she was on her way out. It wasn’t something he wanted to consider given how close he’d become to the animal, but all signs seemed to be pointing in that direction.
