The citizens of the Derinkuyu population must have had a hard time getting used to living underground. The provisions must have been scarce – but when push came to shove, that was their only way to stay alive.
It allowed them to appreciate the simplicities of life, and focus on bettering their current situation. Upon careful observation of their way of life in this time, we can maybe better understand how they came to be as sophisticated as they were. They were a tightly knit tribe, and they didn’t look back.
