Late into the show’s run in the fifth season, Tommy Mullaney joined the LA Law firm, a role which was played by John Spencer. However, he quickly left the firm, allegedly to start a relationship with Roxanne. Spencer ended up going on to play and star in West Wings for seven seasons and win an Emmy for his role as Leo McGarry. He sadly passed away at the age of 58 back in 2005.
