On May 19, 2018 Ty’s hard work had finally paid off. At his graduation ceremony from Georgetown University the crowd watched in awe as Ty’s name was finally called. Using a walker, he managed to pull himself up and take a few small steps towards the dean to receive his diploma. Everyone was on their feet cheering for him, and some even cried tears of joy. Later on social media, the university referred to it as “a moment we will never forget.”
