When Queen Elizabeth II ascended as Queen and Prince Charles became the first in line to the throne, he was given a brand new title.
He was awarded the title of the Duke of Cornwall, alongside various other names, such as the Great Steward of Scotland, the Earl of Chester, the Duke of Rothesay, and many more. Most notably, however, he is the Prince of Wales.
