As the show progresses, we get to see more and more of Anne, played by Elaine Tan. Initially, she is hired to check up on Pernell by Guy Guillet; a man that is striking a slightly shady deal with the mayor, Bobo. As the judge’s behavior becomes more erratic, it’s down to Anne to decide whether the deal will fall through. Especially after his first initial public outburst in the pilot episode. Is she genuinely concerned about Pernell, however, or is it all just business to Anne?
