Thankfully, given Gerald’s experience as a craftsman, transforming the crib wasn’t going to be that much of a challenge. The man knew how to turn the piece of furniture into something practical that would still hold all its sentimental value.
He got to work straight away and spent the next week putting in as many hours as possible in his workshop. It was a tiring job, but his desire to please Valerie motivated Kumpula. He wanted everything to be perfect for her after all that she’d been through.
