There is a tale of another man who suffered through a biblical flood. The tale is from ancient Mesopotamia and is known as the Epic of Gilgamesh, it follows the story of a man searching for eternal life. Gilgamesh visits a man called Utnapishtim, who was said to have survived the great flood. The great flood tales are told to be so similar that there is little doubt both tales were derived from ancient Mesopotamia.
