[post_page_title]Queen vs. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson[/post_page_title]
While Queen Elizabeth had more than her fair share of issues with her daughter-in-law Sarah Ferguson and son Prince Andrew, this one came pretty early. When Fergie was pregnant with Princess Beatrice in 1988, her parents didn’t want to name her that at all.
While they ended up settling on Beatrice Elizabeth Mary, her middle name being a tribute to her grandmother, they reportedly wished to call her Annabel. The Queen, who traditionally has to approve baby names, nixed that notion, saying it was too “yuppie.” She suggested Beatrice instead. Guess who had their way?
