When the bride saw the two dresses, she immediately became irate. She couldn’t believe that her father’s girlfriend would even think about wearing white to her wedding, and she quickly told her as such. She insisted that the woman wear the purple dress because there was “no white/ivory at my wedding.”
The whole exchange quickly became awkward, because the bride just thought it was a given for guests not to wear white to a wedding. Her dad’s girlfriend obviously disagreed with that notion.
