Because of this tradition, one Australian bride decided to ban her father’s girlfriend from wearing her dress of choice to her wedding. She is the kind of traditional bride who abides by the rule that the bride is only allowed to wear white to a wedding, and she wasn’t happy about the fact that her dad’s girlfriend wanted to wear a white floral dress.
Although the older woman tried to plead her case and noted that the dress was ivory and covered in colored flowers, the bride wasn’t having any of it. In fact, she took to Facebook to showcase her distress over the matter. She couldn’t believe that someone would consider wearing white to any wedding and wanted to know whether she should send out a dress code to make sure nobody else followed suit.
