Some actors wanted to be included in “The Rifleman” so badly that they ended up featuring on the series in more than one role. Sammy Davis Jr. was one of those actors, as was Paul Fix and Dennis Hopper. This isn’t uncommon in TV, especially in shows from that period. Sometimes stars have such a minor role that people forget they were in the series already when they return as a new character. We were never complaining when these guys came back – the more, the merrier.
