While this story ended in a relatively good way, things could have been completely different for this sun bear. If the group of volunteers hadn’t run into the bear, or if they didn’t realize it was calling for help, it probably wouldn’t have survived being trapped in that snare. So it’s lucky that these people were able to realize something was wrong before they kept going, otherwise this story wouldn’t have the happy ending that it did.
