Traps and snares can cause a lot of damage to animals – even hurt them fatally. Although in some environments running into a bear can be a pretty frightening thing, they should be able to run around free in rainforests. It’s their natural habitat, and they don’t pose a threat here. The only reason these traps were placed was to keep them away from those illegal plantations. What’s been done here is essentially like coming into someone’s home and taking over.
