While Hollywood stars and viewers at home alike laughed at their self-deprecating jokes, the visual effects artists that made Cats didn’t appreciate the humor. One artist tweeted about the 80-hour work weeks, layoffs, and studio closures that the movie brought about, implying that Wilson and Cordon had a lack of “class.”
