The Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker is a military aerial refueling aircraft. Together with the Boeing 707 airliner, it was developed based on the Boeing 367-80 prototype, and is the main aircraft of the C-135 Stratolifter family. This aircraft was the American Air Force’s first jet-powered refueling tanker and served as a replacement to the KC-97 Stratofreighter.
This impressive plane was used a great dal in the Vietnam War, as well as later on in the Operation Desert Storm, in order to increase the ranger as well as endurance of the United States fighters and bombers.
