This photograph was taken in what is now known as North and South Dakota. It shows General Custer making his way across the country, and it doesn’t appear that the general traveled light. He was a formidable man, and his reputation no doubt preceded him wherever he went.

General Custer

Custer was a leader in the United States Army during the American Civil War and the American Indian Wars. There was no way anyone was going to try and mess with the general with this amount of backup rolling with him.
