Despite the urgency of the emails from Karen’s roommate, it seemed like the real estate agency was is no great hurry to do something about this recurring problem. At first, it seemed like they were on top of the problem, however. After getting the roommate’s first email, real estate agent Adrian Tesoriero had his regular electrician replace some lighting components in the stairwell’s light system.
When he got her second email two months later, however, he failed to do anything at all. Appearing in court later, Tesoriero claimed he once again had the electrician fix the persistent problem, but there was no evidence of it ever having happened. He certainly never responded to the email.
