The event cancelation was not the sort of information she had been expecting to post in the group. Her post quickly went viral, however. Someone had screenshotted the post and, blanking her name out, had shared it on Reddit, where it got a tremendous amount of attention.
The post explained that the baby shower was canceled because people had been making nasty comments about the name she had chosen for her son. She expressed her distress at the fact that people could be so cruel and she had therefore decided that the event would not go ahead. She even took to claiming that they were “fake” and were no longer wanted in her baby’s life.
