One of the more memorable musical acts from the emo era is Paramore, much due to their catchy pop format and their prominent vocalist. Hayley may have been one of the most iconic emos in the mainstream scene, but as we can see, she didn’t stay emo forever.
This change in style also reflects the transformation of the band itself, as they developed a happier sound and lyrics less centered around teenage angst. Hayley may not have been a big proponent of the emo scowl, but she looks happier now.
