Carol left the world of figure skating for acting despite being the first female to ever land a double Axel jump. She was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame and the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame. Carol played the lead role in the Snow White and the Three Stooges movie released in 1961. She later went on to become a figure skating instructor in Ohio to multiple male and female Olympic gold medalists.
