While Lindsey was anxious to get the DNA results, her mother Laura was very apprehensive. Laura recalled, “I didn’t want to have a DNA test when she was younger because I loved her, and I was like, ‘what if I found out she wasn’t mine?’” Laura had a point, if the results were not the ones she wanted to hear, it could cause a great deal of pain to her and her daughter and no mother wants to hurt their daughter.
