He spent his high school years mostly like a normal teenager. He was a good student, joined all the sports club, he was a great athlete and his main worries were which college he would eventually attend.
His one big dream was to enroll in University of Southern California, however the costs were way too high for him to afford. After the future actor graduated from Grant High School in 1962, he worked as hard as he could to earn a basketball scholarship. Eventually, the hard working boy got himself into USC, the university of his dreams.
