Dave Chappelle is as famous for being a comedian as he is for dropping out of fame. Chappelle was offered $50 million to stay on with Chappelle’s Show, but he turned it down, feeling that fame was corrupting him.
He had something of a breakdown and went to Africa for a while, and then decided to buy a farm in rural Ohio, staying out of the spotlight and spending time with his family. However, now he has time to do what he loves – stand up.
