In 2006, the pair were married in a Scientology ceremony and Katie had a silent birth to fall in accordance with the religion’s laws when Suri Cruise was born. Katie didn’t just defect from the Church of Scientology, she’s single-handedly taking them down by disallowing their influence in her child’s life and lessening the authority and power Tom used to hold over her own.
