Back in the 30s, smoking was just as popular as it is now, and arguably even more popular. It was especially popular in the wealthy class, and therefore, it makes sense that these high rollers were given the opportunity to puff some tobacco in their private quarters.
This massive room was called the Smoking Salon, and honestly we’ve never seen a room dedicated to smoking so big in our lives. And boy do those armchairs look comfy.
