The initial planning process for any new show is difficult, and trying to find the perfect actor for the job can often be hard. This was definitely the case for the creators of Bewitched when were searching for their Darrin. Although Dick Dargent and Dick York both had the chance to take on this role, they weren’t the only ones in contention. In fact, the creators were once questioning whether actor Richard Crenna would be perfect as their Darrin. They later decided against this casting.
