[post_page_title]A very controversial scene[/post_page_title]
One of the most problematic moments of the show was a certain episode some of you may still remember. It was actually written by 22 African-American 10th graders, and involved some very important issues, but it was done in a way that until this very day is considered extremely controversial, for obvious reasons. In the episode, Darrin loses a contract with a toy company, after the executive sees him with Lisa’s mother and assumed he’s married to a black woman. Samantha then casts a spell that makes him think he, and everyone else, is in fact black. That involved using dark makeup, in a way that no TV show would dream of using today.
