If you watched both Bewitched and I Love Lucy when they were on your screens, then you may have noticed that some of the stories seemed to be very similar. That wasn’t just some happy coincidence, but was rather because William Asher co-produced and directed both of the shows, and decided to merge some of the stories and the dialogue together so it was easier for everyone. While people wouldn’t be too pleased if shows did this nowadays, it made sense back in the day.
