Even though they officially divorced in 1996, Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson have famously remained close, raising their two daughters Eugenie and Beatrice together. In 2010, however, that closeness ended up getting Fergie into some legal trouble.
An undercover reporter posed as a businessman, and recorded the Duchess asking for $500,000 in return for access to Andrew. Having been caught red-handed in the sting operation, Fergie claimed that she was in dire financial straits that caused her to take action that desperate. Needless to say, though, it caused quite a stir.
