To say that Prince Charles’ relationship with the press has been difficult would be an understatement. In 2005, however, we got to find out precisely how he felt – from the man himself! While on vacation at a Swiss ski resort with William and Harry, the three posed for photographs.
Charles, unaware that nearby microphones were recording them, was clearly heard murmuring “I hate doing this” and “I hate these people.” After fielding a question from the BBC’s royal correspondent about his upcoming marriage to Camilla, he muttered, “I can’t bear that man. He’s so awful.”
