Plucas continues to receive daily visits from Emma, and the two enjoy their time together, although with less rough-housing than before. When Plucas last checked in, he believed that his friend might be pregnant, a sign that she was adjusting well to her new life in the forest. Even if she does now have her own family, though, the relationship Emma shares with Plucas will always be the most important to her. “I’m her world and she is mine,” the farmer admitted.
