Elton John has definitely made a name of himself over the years, and rumors of his romantic intentions have surrounded the singer for much of his career. During his early career, Elton had numerous relationships with women – but in 1976 he noted that he was also romantically attracted to men. After the breakdown of his first marriage in 1988, Elton stumbled across a Canadian filmmaker by the name of David Furnish. In 2005, they became one of the first LGBT couples in the United Kingdom to legally acquire a civil partnership.
