Eventually, McKinli and her husband settled on the name Laikynn Kay Hatch. They were over the moon with their decision, but they didn’t realize that their chalkboard announcement would cause such a ruckus. As more and more people learned of their baby name, they were a little confused.
It was certainly original, but many wondered if it was perhaps a little too original. It was unlike any other name out there, but it seems as though McKinli was happy with her choice. In fact, she chose an equally unusual name when she discovered she was pregnant again in 2019.
