Although we don’t condone Southwest Airlines’ actions, there’s no doubt about the fact that the name on the boarding pass was something unusual. The Texan mother had decided to call her daughter “Abcde.”
To most of us, this is the start of the alphabet, but to this mother, it was her child’s legitimate and legal name. Instead of pronouncing it the way we would if we were reciting the alphabet, the mom claimed that her daughter’s name was pronounced “ab-si-dee.” That’s definitely one we haven’t seen before!
