[post_page_title]Sophie Turner as Dark Phoenix[/post_page_title]
The tidings of 2019 promise the likes of X-Men: The Dark Phoenix, a film that essentially centers around the turbulent rise of Dr. Jean Grey. We’ve discussed how the line between good and bad is exceptionally blurry when it comes to X-Men characters, and this is especially true when it comes to her.

For all intents and purposes, Jean is a good, well meaning person. However, the nature of her mutant persona is that of a dark, lingering creature which lies dormant with the depths of her identity. When it is awakened, she turns into a completely different beast – certainly with villainous tendencies. In the trailer for the film, Sophie Turner looks inspired in the role.
