John Hughes was so enamored with Macaulay that he wrote the role of Kevin McCallister for him in Home Alone – it doesn’t get more special treatment than that! Macaulay obviously took the part, little did her know that it would be the film that would throw him into the limelight at lightning speed. Home Alone became a hit that spawned more hit sequels and catapulted Macaulay into superstardom.
