Since emerging in the early ‘70s, Don has had quite a career. He’s been a regular on both the big and small screen, finding particular success on the latter. For much of the ‘80s, he portrayed Detective Crockett in the crime drama series ‘Miami Vice,’ one of the biggest shows of its time.
The program took Johnson from just a regular actor to someone with star power, and it changed his life forever. It was thanks to ‘Miami Vice’ that he later landed things like the police drama ‘Nash Bridges.’
