One person who was reportedly disturbed by the actor’s relationship was Pamela Des Barres, one of Don’s former groupies. The two of them were apparently living together at the time, with the duo also allegedly romantically entangled.
Pamela wasn’t impressed when he left her for a much younger woman, but she knew there was nothing she could do about it. Things were so different back then that Des Barres didn’t consider what he was doing might be against the law. She just had to accept that Johnson didn’t want her anymore.
