It didn’t take long for Johnson to start seeing Melanie, although his interest in her was considered questionable at first. After all, there was a very large age gap between them. The kind of age gap, actually, that would cause an uproar nowadays, but back then, it wasn’t quite as controversial.
That’s why Tippi apparently had no qualms about Don and her daughter moving in together when she was very young. Of course, just because the age difference wasn’t quite so scandalous then, that doesn’t mean that everyone supported it.
