Several years ago Elliott passed on the chance to star with Reba McEntire in a Broadway revival of the classic musical Annie Get Your Gun. He grew up singing in choirs and school productions with his famous baritone front and center.
He told the New York Times that it was his biggest regret in his professional life. “I’d love to do a musical,” he said, “I could pick it up real quick.” Here’s hoping Broadway is listening.
