This is why his supposed on-screen love affair with his co-star, Julia Roberts, never made its way into the final cut. He refused to do this because he didn’t want to upset his black fans.

Although Steve was over the moon to work alongside such a legendary actor, he did have a few qualms. Most notably, he was not impressed with the fact that Paul had 12 more lines than he did.
